A little more guidance

Are these recited before or after salam?

The remembrances selected here are for after completing the prayer. Sahih Muslim 591 describes seeking forgiveness and saying “Allahumma Antas-Salam” when the Prophet had finished praying.

Is this one long dua that I must read in full?

No. This page brings together selected supplications and remembrances from two narrations. It is not a single continuous prayer, an exhaustive collection, or an additional pillar of salah.

Why does this page use 33, 33 and 33?

These are the counts in Sahih Muslim 597a. The three sets total 99, and the final declaration completes 100. The earlier istighfar and “Allahumma Antas-Salam” are separate from this total.

Does every Muslim tradition use the same wording?

This page presents a selection from Sunni hadith sources. Other transmitted forms and school-specific practices are not combined into this selection. Follow reliable guidance for the tradition you practise.

How do the reading tools work?

You can resize and copy the Arabic on each card, hide the reading aids, and save individual remembrances in this browser. Saves stay on this device; the displayed repetition counts are guidance, not interactive counters.
